The Surgery is usually closed on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month (except August and January),
along with all other local surgeries, for training purposes.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Change of location for Minor Injuries Unit
The Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) supporting patients across Thurrock, Basildon, Brentwood, south east Essex and surrounding areas will move from Orsett Hospital to Thurrock Community Hospital from Monday 2 November 2026.
The MIU, run by North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), will move to upgraded premises at Thurrock Community Hospital in Long Lane, Grays.
From its new location at Thurrock Community Hospital John Tallack Centre the MIU will provide the same seven-day walk-in service from 10am to 7.30pm for minor injuries such as wounds, bumps, sprains, broken bones, minor eye injuries and minor burns.
NHS Essex aims build on the upgraded service by developing it into an Urgent Treatment Centre from April 2027. This would include minor illnesses as well as minor injuries, with longer opening hours.
